Clearer legal terms: backups, deletion, leaving and Cloudflare
We rewrote parts of the Terms of Service, User Agreement, Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, Refund Policy and Sub-processors page so they match how the platform works. Backups: Sarpius makes a nightly encrypted off-site copy for disaster recovery of the platform (not a per-customer restore service); database restore points are kept 7 days on shared and 14 days on dedicated databases; deleted data leaves the backups within at most 90 days. Leaving: if we end your account without a breach on your side we give at least 30 days' written notice, and after an account or service ends you have 30 days to download your data through the project export or the API. Cloudflare: we now say plainly that Cloudflare can technically see proxied traffic, and that the Privacy route keeps a custom domain off it. Liability now has a EUR 100 minimum, and disputes go to the Rechtbank Gelderland, with consumers keeping their right to sue where they live. The changes to the Terms and User Agreement take effect on October 23, 2026.
